How were the quantities, concentration, and ingredients in Mastermind selected?
The quantities, concentration, and ingredients were drawn from a thorough review performed by our research advisory board. The board reviewed double-blind, randomized controlled trials using peer-reviewed studies that demonstrated statistical significance of compound efficacy, as well as safety. Each ingredient was matched to equivalent studies that showed significant changes in various areas of cognitive function and mental stress.
Feel free to read about the specific clinical trials in the "Ingredients" section of each product page, including the original references. You may also refer to our Clinical Research page, which has been dedicated to this topic.
How much caffeine is there in Mastermind?
Caffeine is not a main ingredient in Mastermind. However, note that traces are naturally present in guarana, black tea extract, and green tea extract. These contribute only 10-11 mg caffeine in each capsule, or roughly 60 mg caffeine in a daily serving of Mastermind (6 capsules). This equates to approximately 1 cup of black tea or less than a cup of coffee, and is below the limit of 400 mg caffeine per day, as suggested by Health Canada.
Studies have also shown that the jitteriness from caffeine intake is reduced with the presence of l-theanine, which is another active ingredient in Mastermind. If caffeine side effects are a concern, consider taking Mastermind with a meal.
Does Mastermind contain stimulants?
Mastermind does not contain any stimulants or pharmaceutical ingredients, as stimulants are typically psychoactive drugs that cause changes in brain chemicals over time. No evidence in current research suggests that continued use of the herbal ingredients found in Mastermind poses toxicity risks or negative health effects.
